Did you know that your skin is the largest organ of the body? That means, ladies, it’s something worth investing in! I’ve always been someone who tries to take care of my skin. I’ve tried and tested so many different products to find the ones that work best for me. Although skincare is an ever-changing process (our skin changes as we age and also as seasons change) I can’t necessarily say that I’ve found the perfect products, but I’ve found a few that are my go-to brands, including Beautycounter. When the idea came about for me to work with them, I was really excited specifically because of how much they do to impact and change the beauty industry.
Being a former pageant queen, I’ve always loved makeup. However, it wasn’t until a year ago (when I finally heard about Beautycounter) that I learned that the cosmetic industry has a complete lack of regulation. In simple terms, this means that product developers can essentially put whatever they want into makeup products. This stopped me in my tracks and made me realize that no matter how much organic food I ate, I was still putting harmful products onto my skin which would eventually absorb into my bloodstream. I truly had no idea how many harmful products I was consistently putting into my body just by applying my everyday makeup.
Changing the Beauty Industry. Today, what I put onto to my body is just as important as what I put into my body. One of the many things I appreciate about Beautycounter is their “Never List.” This list includes over 1800 harmful ingredients that Beautycounter has vowed to never put into their products. The part that shocked me is that 1400 of these harmful ingredients are banned in personal care products in the European Union, but not here in the United States. Knowing what I know now, because of Beautycounter’s helpful Never List, I try to stay away from products that include harmful ingredients, which in turn is allowing me to live a healthier lifestyle. The work that Beautycounter is doing to change the beauty industry isn’t the only reason I love this company, however.
The fight against human trafficking is a huge passion of mine and that includes labor trafficking, too. In the vanilla and MICA industries, labor trafficking is very prominent, and Beautycounter does a lot to combat this evil. This gave me yet another reason to love this company because I’ve been highly focused on aligning myself with companies who share my values and passions, so it was a perfect fit!
The results speak for themselves. I’ve further grown to love Beautycounter because of their amazing, clean products and the incredible results I’ve seen. My skin feels radiant and hydrated, and on top of that I’m using products I can feel good about! As a consumer, I think it is important to do our part by doing research to stop supporting unethical companies. It’s hard to always know the full truth because supply chains can run very deep, but I believe we all have the ability to try our best to support companies who do good through their businesses. On a different note, I also love the makeup because it covers well but is still so light and natural that my own skin shines through. Beautycounter enhances my own skin instead of covering it up or making me look like something I’m not, which is is super important to me too!
Because of how much I love this company and the products, I wanted to share some of my favorites with you! You can purchase my “Demi Picks” below. I hope you check them out and love them as much as I do!

Hi Demi, I love beauty counter too. Our neighbor sells their products at her shop. I would love you to try our hair products that are pure, natural and promote hair growth! We make them in small batches right here in Colorado at our salon. We also love Jesus and pour his love into our ingredients. Let me know if you would like a set sent to you!
What is the name of your shampoo company. I would love to try it or if you can send me one. Thank you!
When I saw that you were a BC consultant, this made me look further into the whole clean beauty world. I have mature skin, 62yo and also v sensitive skin. I use the Countertime Adaptive moisture lotion but have not found a serum that I can tolerate wo breakouts or reaction. Suggestions ?? I can’t use any AHA or Vitamin C formulas as they are just too strong. Thanks for your time and have a blessed day 😘
Demi I am so excited you have discovered Beautycounter!! I have been selling these products for 3 years now, mainly because I wanted clean, healthy skincare along with a clean, healthy body. I love the Counter + Vitamin C Serum! I use the Countertime line, with my older skin and it is fabulous!
